8/6/2023 0 Comments Daddys home 2 filming location![]() ![]() Don tells Brad that his mother didn’t come along, because she wasn’t feeling well.īack at the house, Megan and Dylan warmly embrace Don, since he is very present in their lives, while Kurt hasn’t seen the children since they were toddlers. Brad’s dad, Don (John Lithgow) arrives next and proceeds to hug and kiss Brad on the lips, showing that they have a loving, but very unusual father/son relationship. When Dusty explains that Brad is the stepdad to his children, Kurt doesn’t like it. When Kurt arrives, he mistakes Brad for a chauffeur. Brad tells Dusty that his parents are also supposed to be coming for the holiday.Īt the airport the next day, Dusty tells Brad that his father is going to make fun of them since he won’t understand their co-dad arrangement. Kurt tells Dusty that he’s coming for Christmas and is coming into the airport in the morning. Dylan picks it up and announces it’s Grandpa Kurt (Mel Gibson), Dusty’s ex-astronaut, womanizing father. As soon as Dusty announces the news to the kids, the phone rings. Back at the house, after the play, Brad and Dusty decide to do away with having two separate Christmases and instead do one “together Christmas”. Dusty has also remarried, this time to Karen (Alexandra Ambrosio), a writer, and is stepdad to Adrianna, Karen’s daughter.īrad and his wife, Sara (Linda Cardellini), along with Dusty and Karen, attend a school play for Megan, where she announces to the whole audience that she doesn’t like the fact that she has to go back and forth to different houses all the time. I just thought it was a funny story. After finally becoming friends at the end of the first film, Brad Whittaker (Will Ferrell) and Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg) have a co-dad system where their two children, Megan and Dylan, take turns at each father’s house. Two hours later, a character in the movie makes the same joke. ![]() One person said that the front row was the worst possible way to see a movie. TL DR - My friends and I went to see this on a Saturday night, got stuck sitting in the front row. If you saw the first one, you know what to expect from this one.except that it's suddenly not rated R and they're randomly living in Massachusetts instead of Los Angeles now. Either Will Farrell or John Lithgow walk into the theater and sees that only the front row was available and screams out: "WHAT?! Front row?!" We bust out laughing for five minutes because of that. My friends were really disgruntled about that, and one even screamed out "Front row? AI had just seen Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri in the front row a few days before that, so it wasn't a huge deal to me.įast forward to the part in the movie where they go to the movies on Christmas day. We saw that the only seats available were the ones in the front row. So instead of making a big deal out of it, we went across the street to the Regal to see the movie at 7:10. I guess AMC changed their policy there so that you can't buy tickets 10 minutes after a showing starts? Because, for some reason, the 7:00 showing wasn't coming up on the kiosk. My friends and I went to go see this in Times Square on Saturday night. That's probably asking for too much inside the studio system. Under a better writer and director, they could of had something quite special if they were willing to take some chances. This director constantly churns out "basic" movies that find a way to profit despite themselves. The rest of the cast doesn't need it as much, but Mel is in unfamiliar territory here, and could use some help. I know my father has many different sides, and they all serve a roll. That would have been really interesting to watch. I wonder if they had focused more on the 4 fathers the way "Inside Out" did with the different personalities in someone's head. It's not without it's moments, but it's definitely not re-watchable. It's worth watching it on streaming someday. However, you shouldn't spend money to see it. Well, not as terrible as I thought it would. Max Payne (2008) I think this is 100% shit tbh.Although that might suffer from the Spacey scandal.īut he has other movies that maybe other people enjoyed where as I really didn’t or ones I didn’t see. Although he’s suppose to be in “All the Money in the World” coming out. It’s just lately it’s only been bad or average. If we’re including all genres then in no particular order I thought these movies of his were good. ![]()
